The Encore! chartered bus trip to “Illumination: Tree Lights at The Morton Arboretum” on December 1st, 2021 is full.
Any additional reservations will be placed on a wait list in the order received. We will contact you if any seats become available.

Time: Leave 9:30am; Arrive home ~10:30pm in 30-passenger charter bus.

Art-focused Excursion
9:30am Leave Mt. Morris [from Disciples United Methodist Church parking lot.
Snacks will be served on the bus. Also, “Getting to Know Milwaukee History” tidbits.

11:45-1:30
  • Lynden Sculpture Garden (including “Healing Coats” exhibit, Bonsai art, and 50+ large sculptures, lakes and woodlands) lyndensculpturegarden.org Wear suitable footwear, as paths are limited.
  • Picnic lunch at tables on the grounds.

The historic Mt. Morris College campus contains the oldest building in Mt. Morris, a beautifully preserved sandstone building used for science classes at the College and later converted to Watt Publishing Company. Encore! Mt. Morris has been able to acquire the use of the first floor as a multi-purpose art gallery space. Refurbished, painted and equipped during the summer of 2016 for art displays by volunteers, it has served as the anchor space for Encore! Mt. Morris to host numerous shows.

Regular shows are scheduled throughout the summer months, during the December holiday season, and less frequently at other times during the school year. The gallery is open during the summer Jamboree music concert series (Friday evenings) and Kable Band concerts (Wednesday evenings) and during other community events and festivals, as publicized. Summer 2018 schedule:
